We worked with Ferrania on packaging, artistic direction, business development, and brand identity.
Film Ferrania is a pillar of Italian excellence in analogic photography, known for producing high-quality photographic and cinematographic films appreciated throughout the world. Founded decades ago, it gained fame thanks to masters of Italian cinema such as Pasolini and Fellini. Today, it is the last photographic film manufacturer in Italy and continues to innovate with new silver-rich black and white films capable of capturing unique details.
The collaboration with Film Ferrania aims to relaunch the brand with a more contemporary approach, facing the challenge of transporting an icon of analogue cinema into the modern era. Our visual strategy focused on a distinctive element that could symbolize both innovation and respect for tradition: the use of red light. This choice is not random, but is a direct homage to the Ferrania logo. The red light not only evokes the controlled light darkroom development process typical of analogue photography, but also becomes a metaphor for the new spirit of the brand: a guiding light towards modernity, keeping the roots and original essence of Ferrania alive. When revisiting the site, we wanted to add a section dedicated to Ferrania users. Thus was born "Ferrania Blog Stories", a space dedicated to the celebration of analogue photography through the works of world-famous photographers and Ferrania amateurs.
In redefining the brand's identity, we have developed packaging that respects and renews Ferrania's heritage, taking care of every detail to redesign the product's journey.
